Inactivity!

I'm so sorry for the inactivity here on DA. Honestly life has gotten so busy I haven't had time to get my photography uploaded. On top of having no art software, or internet, and an ancient computer at home, it adds to the difficulty. Then when I'm not working (which is not a lot), I'm at the gym or getting other life stuff taken care of.
Sometimes I hate being so busy and without resources.
But just keep in mind I do lurk around time to time to add things to my favorites and show my support

Writing a novel! ,)

I've had a story in my head for almost a year now. It was a repeat dream, but not in the sense people think of when they hear that term. This dream continued almost every night or every other night. The characters and details were so clear and the story line was really cool. It's stuck in my head long enough that I think I am going to run with it.
Sure, as every writer probably feels, I really have my doubts of this story is really going to interest anybody else but me, or if it is worth writing, but it couldn't hurt to try at at least.
I started writing since high school. One of my first books was never completed but I got about 3/4ths way done with over 300 pages at .10 font. It was a fantasy type story that also still lingers in my mind. I think the story was actually really good. However my laptop during high school died. I had a 3.5 floppy that I had a back-up on that was given to me by my high school english teacher, but it vanished and re-appeared shattered and broken. So that wasn't fun.
As with every story, this requires research to make it believable, even if it has scifi elements to it.
This current story requires the FBI building in Washington, D.C. Good there, but I'm so stuck!
A support character works in a secret facility ran by the military, mostly the US Army. Where in D.C. would be a good location to hide a top secret research facility? I google mapped the DC region and the streets and everything, but without actually KNOWING the area, I do not know what is believable.
Help?

Wow, I've been lazy this year so far when it comes to actually putting things up on here.
Still need internet at home, I swear. I don't want to be here after work just to load up shots from my camera lol.
But I still lurk, and wow, there are so many great artists on here. It brings a smile to my face to come on here everyday and see the beautiful things people are able to create. Thank you all for your stunning art!

I am Barcode Eleven
Whispered to me by a peculiar man
In a grocery store early morning
While I stood there debating breakfast.
It was just a whisper and he walked away
With such urgency
The stranger in the purple and yellow Hawaiian shirt
And faded jeans
I wanted to ask him what,
or perhaps
why…
But it's alright.
In his unknown world
I've been identified.
True story from this morning.
