Literature Text

The world is spinning around you
Like a merry-go-round
And someone is pushing you faster.
At first the spinning is fun
And you beg for the excitement
As you spin, spin, spin,
And you clutch the cold metal.
But soon the metal hurts as you grip tighter
You doubt if you can hold on
And you start to slide off
The world is so blurred.
Let go.
Even after the ride has stopped
You still feel the spinning
But it will cease
Everything is temporary
And you will see more clearly than ever before.
Sometimes the world has to be out of focus

Just something I wrote a long time ago and found in my documents.

It's about how chaotic things can get, and sometimes the smaller things build until your entire world is skewed. Sometimes you have to let go, even if it's scary. The world shouldn't be blurred.

Nice! You conveyed the idea that we must all step back and let it go to really get a good look a things very well! Especially with the last two lines. This idea reminds me of a quote by Paul Gauguin--- "I shut my eyes in order to see."
